We completed a simple project to help eliminate the Spotted Lanternfly in our community of Deleware County using inexpensive materials this took moments to install and proved to catch a large number of lanternfly nymphs.
The Flypaper we used came from Amazon – you can get the same flypaper here – https://amzn.to/39Ztx6L

Unwraping the flypaper we reverse rolled it around the tree and stuck it to itself. This proved to be enough to hold the paper in place. We then placed chicken wire over the flypaper to protect from other animals that may get trapped. Here is an example of the wirte we used – https://amzn.to/3guU3qQ
The best part about the chicken wire is the curl from th eroll makes it easy to wrap the tree and hold itself in place without attaching anything to the tree or hurting th etree in any way. We twisted the top of the wire mesh to crimp the end down and prevent squirrels from entering.
